Thanksgiving & the Convalescence

An update on Becky. Our favorite patient is continuing the healing process at home in Canby. A gluttonous yet festive day is shaping up here at the Hawley/Hilton homestead. The Californians have joined their Oregon kin on a rather gloomy day (weather-wise) already soaked by morning drizzle and fog. But all is happy within the cozy rooms of the two homes. Uncle Dan and Vicky from Orange County, Sue and John, Mishell and Jacob, and Kayla and Marcus, all from Redding have joined the Hilton family and the two Hawley dudes and their mother. The Van Orsows are at Mike's parents for the day and may join us later. Becky is up and about, looking better with the aftermath of surgery beginning to wane. She is able to shampoo her hair now and the black eye is more yellow-green. Now it is up to the medication and her body to knit together the last of the tissue and bone that was under the knife. She is doing great. Except for intermittent naps, she is up and about, conversing with everyone, enjoying her emancipation from the medical ward, and delighting in having this thing behind her. Please continue to pray for her continuing recovery and have a wonderful Thanksgiving wherever you may be; family, friend, or cyberstranger who may have strayed upon Becky's blog. Later.
