Jim was on a quest the past few years, to find the perfect pair of readers. The end result was 32 pairs, scattered throughout the house, the car, and a few left in various locations and restaurants. But not one was the perfect pair - although he did have a favorite pair - but it was always the lost pair. He persisted and patiently squinted his way through many MANY days. Fuch's disease was deteriorating his corneas, and glasses were becoming little help.
But now, squinting and hunting for readers is a thing of the past. You see (he he - a pun!) Jim had corneal transplants this summer. Within days of each surgery he was seeing more color, more brightness, more clarity.
We are grateful that two individuals had the intention of being donors. We are grateful for science and skillful doctors who perform life changing surgeries. We are grateful that God orchastrated it all. Because He knows and shapes the bigger picture .....
And now Jim looks at the trees, the sky, and the birds we pass by on our walks. Instead of his feet.

That is great news. I was always terrified when Jimmy picked me up for work.
