Just a funny conversation with someone in my family who can't hear very well.
(Some of the names have been changed to protect the hard of hearing):
Bridgett: What animal did we used to have when we had some property?
Me: Steer.
Bridgett: Deer?
Me: Steeeer!
Bridgett: ......... Deer?
Me: No ....... STEEEEEEEER! for beef!
Bridgett: .....................................................Deer? or Beer?
Me: NEITHER!
Bridgett: Beaver?
Ohmygoodness.
I'll capitalize on this moment to say, "GO BEAVERS!"
