What a Difference a Year Makes

 

This year ….
No eyes were almost poked out with light sticks, wizard wands or pirate swords.
No one almost caught on fire.
No one tripped and fell or ran into mailboxes.
No one tromped any bushes (ok, maybe a blade of grass or two still suffered.)
No one tried to open the doors to houses (but instead there was actual knocking and waiting!)
No one announced "Happy Birthday" (instead of "Trick or Treat")
No one needed carrying.
and ............
drum roll please ..........
NO ONE WAS WEARING DIAPERS! YAY JESSY GIRL!

They sure are growing up.
Must they???

 

And .... someone came to the door dressed up as an Uncle Bob - oh, wait, it actually WAS Uncle Bob! We happened upon a pumpkin that suited him just fine ....
