Have you ever played the game Telephone? Maybe also known as "Massacre this perfectly good sentence that I will whisper in your ear?"
Well .... when you are a preschooler, sometimes it doesn't need to be whispered at all. It could be just a wonderful story made even more amazing by a wonderful imagination.
Hallie drew a picture about the Bible Story that Mrs. Talbert had told that day. She held it up to show her the masterpiece.
Mrs T: "Hallie, tell me about your drawing?"
Hallie: "I drew the sheep from the story ....here, and here, and over here, too." (Hallie points to the fluffy cloudlike orbs on her drawing).
Mrs. T: "And who is this?" (Mrs. T points to the non-fluffy orb off to the side of the "sheep")
"Oh, him - He's the Good Leopard who watches over the sheep!"
Well that is one good leopard to refrain from eating veal for dinner! Oh my goodness - one of my favorite Bible story retellings of all time!
(The names have been changed to protect the storyteller and the artist in this most amusing recount of a very fun moment)
